The incident took place in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
According to the East Fishkill Police, the department received a complaint of a suspicious man approaching students at John Jay High School in East Fishkill.
The man reportedly followed the student in his vehicle and approached two other students in an area off campus on the same day, police said.
In response, the department's Detective Division opened an investigation and worked tirelessly to identify the suspect.
On Sunday, Sept. 17, officers arrested Cesar Rojas, age 33, of Yonkers, the department said.
Rojas was charged with stalking and arraigned at the East Fishkill Justice Court. He was released on his own recognizance with an appearance ticket and served with an order of protection mandating him to stay away from the victim and the victim’s school.
"We want to thank the City of Yonkers Police Department for their assistance with this case," the department said.
